Interesting feedback. Actually the 140K borrowed on my investment portfoliio is against Texas School bonds of which we are guaranteed certain amount of revenue. The market does not affect the value. I also have it in my plan to pay off the Credit Line by Feb. 2012. Tracking very well. Everything we have is paid for with the exception of this recent vacation rental. As far as rental problems, ect... I have a strict screening process and rarely have this challenge. Our homes are well furnished and stocked and guests appreciate the extra attention to detail and therefore take very good care of our homes. With technology it is very manageable. I have great team and enjoy making people happy. Thanks a million! Malynda

That IS interesting about CNN bringing back "Tycoon in the Making". This would not work for me because I do not have the personality for handling the problems inherent in short-term renting to vacationers, but if she likes and can handle that type of stress more power to her! I would imagine that years from now, as she gets very old and doesn't have the stamina for all the running around she could hire a property manager to help her out.

Sounds like a huge risk for me. Borrowing against stocks and bonds.. talk about leverage. What happens when the stocks and bonds tank in value? I guess she'll be headed in bankruptcy court if that happens.
